    What Happens on Emergency?

  • After the panic button is pressed or trip/fall is detected, the following will happen:
  • ...The Device will anounce 3 times: "SOS alarm has been activated. Press SOS to stop."
  • ...In case of a false alarm, press SOS briefly to stop the process before the third anouncement.
  • Otherwise, emergency procedure starts:
  • ...Voice prompt,"Calling contact number one."
  • ...The Device will begin to establish a two-way voice connection to a monitoring center agent.
  • ...At the same time, the Device sends alarm signals (emergency messages + GPS locations if available) to the monitoring center.
  • ...The monitoring center agents have visions of both voice calls and alarm signals.
  • ...They may answer the call right away, or they may choose to call back after analysing the alarm signals.
  • What should I do?
  • ...Just talk through the Device if it is answered, or
  • ...Wait for a call back, through the Device or your home phone or cell phone.
  • ...Then go from there to discuss with the agent how to proceed.

    Pendant Work Range

  • The Device works anywhere in Canada and US where mobile signals are available.
  • Alarm Codes

  • No alarm code is set up for GPS pendants.
  • Does the GPS Pendant also come with fall detection?

  • Yes, but only if you need it and order it. All our GPS pendants come with the fall dectection feature, but not activated by default for the sake of avoiding false alarms. You may add the trip and fall featue byu calling our office.
  • Does the fall detection work accurately?

  • Not 100% accurate. Please do not completely rely on the fall feature only. As examples, if you drop it on the floor accidentally, it might trigger the alarm. Howerver, if you fall slowly, or to a couch or bed, it might treat the fall as normal sitting. The sensitivity of the fall feature can be adjusted. Please call our office for any such sdjustment.
  • Can I use the pendant for other emergency?

  • Yes, absolutely! Feel free to use it for all kinds of emergencies: fire, flood, robbery, assault, accidents, etc. If you are lost, the GPS pendant can pinpoint your location and report it to the monitoring center, if signal available.
  • What should I do on false alarm?

  • Press SOS right away to stop the emergency process or otherwise simply tell whoever answers the call or calls back that it is false alarm.
  • Is there any charge on false alarm?

  • All dispatches following false alarm may be charged. However there is no charge on false alarm as long the false alarm does not incur any diapatch. So it is very important to stop the dispatch on any false alarm.

    How to Turn the Power Off?

  • Manually Power off -- Hold the Phone Button (as shown below) and the SOS button at the same time for 3 seconds. The pendant will vibrate twice before it turns the power off.
  • How to Turn the Power on?

  • Whenever the pendant is being charged, the power turns on automatically. To turn the power on manually, if battery is not drained: -- Hold the Phone Button (as shown below) and the SOS button at the same time for 3 seconds. The pendant will vibrate before it turns the power on.

Lights on the Pendant

There are 3 lights on the side of the pendant:

  • Green Light - Indicator of mobile signals.
  • Blue Light - Indicator of GPS signals.
  • Red Light - Power indicator.

Side Buttons on the Pendant

There are 2 strip buttons, each end funtioning as follows:

  • Phone Button - By default not programmed.
  • Volume Buttons - Voice volume adjustment.
  • Silent Mode Button - Long press to turn silent mode on or off.
